Meet Me
Hi, my name is
George Patient and I am a media student at the FitzWimarc school. I am
undertaking a task where I have to create a music video adaptation of a song of
my choice. There are some general conventions I will need to consider during my
production;
- Different costume changes throughout
- Usually contain the band/artiste (represented)
- Lip syncing
- Location changes
- Combines film and music
- Enhance the image of the artiste
- Edits that match the music (Synchronous sound)
- Reflect the ideology of the genre
- Narrative/performance/abstract/mixture
Sometimes the music
video may deter from conventions to stand out or just be very creative and
unique such as;
I will be
addressing most of the conventions in my music video as I feel it will be
easier for me to plan a simply yet effective idea. I am looking forward to this
production task as I did a film task last year which I enjoyed; giving me lots
of new skills and a better understanding of cinematography which will come in
handy for this year’s music video as I plan on doing a narrative-performance.
